Let`s say YES to what our Father has for us!

Say, Yes Lord!

Matthew 9: 27 -29
27 As Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed Him, shouting loudly, Have pity and mercy on us, Son of David!28 When He reached the house and went in, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said to Him, Yes, Lord. 29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in Me] be it done to you (Amplified version)

When Jesus asks us if we believe He can do something, do we say, “Yes Lord”

“Yes Lord. Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in me] be it done to you”

How many of us know that, because of who we are in Christ, power is also invested in us? We can ask people if they believe their Father will bless, heal, rescue, etc. We can reach out and touch. Then the mighty power of God will flow through us, just like it flowed through Jesus! Faith rises up to receive what has already been provided through grace. Jesus does not turn round to them and say, ‘well now, I’ve decided to have mercy and pity on you and heal you’, no He already has that! Instead He says, ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this? `. A simple, `Yes, Lord`, is all that is required.

We need to know that only God is the answer. The two blind men relentlessly followed Jesus, because they were poor enough in spirit to know they needed only what Jesus could provide. Let’s throw ourselves on the mercy and pity of Jesus and as we learn to do this, invite others to do the same. We have a Father that is always on our side and on the side of those we meet. Let them know by an offer of prayer this week!

Take it one step at a time, may be at first make the offer of prayer to take away to your quiet time. Then find them later in the week or whenever and simply ask how they/things are. A day will come when you are able to take it a step further and offer to pray with them there and then

Practical help:
Briefly find out what is wrong
`Can I pray for you`
`Can I pray for you now`
Follow with a simple and short prayer asking God for what is needed
If it is something you can know about, there and then, ask, for example, do you feel ayd better? Or get them to try and do what they couldn’t before. For example, lift their arm, turn their head, flex their hand, etc
If there is no result and you feel a prompting, ask permission to pray again and use a command, so instead of asking in Jesus name, command in Jesus name. For example, ‘we command this migraine to go in Jesus name’
You can also involve them more by saying, we agree together in Jesus name that . .
